This is the girl…

…who has chicken pox.

IMG_0182

…who was vaccinated against it.

…who got it anyway.

…who itches like crazy.

…who is missing a big party, at school today, that she’s been looking forward to for weeks.

…who is missing a regional academic competition, tomorrow, that she’s been practicing for, for months.

…who was kicked out, via the back stair well of the doctor’s office, like a leper, once she was diagnosed.

…who cried when we got in the car.

…who successfully used those tears to score Chick-fil-A for breakfast.

…who can’t return to school until Tuesday.  At the earliest.

…who would tell the chicken pox to suck it, if she were anything like her mother.

Chicken pox??? I didn't think anybody got that anymore???
Poor girl! I remember the itching from that!

My kids are 11 and 16, and they have never had the chicken pox. They haven't been vaccinated for it either.

I can't believe she actually has it! Poor thing! I bet she's so bummed. How many pox does she actually have?
Justin got 5 pox after he got his first round of the vaccination when he was 1.

Could she not just tell a little white lie and say she has poison ivy so she could still go to the competition tomorrow?

Nikki, that sucks for her, I feel bad. All I can remember is sitting in a bath of pink shit to help with the itching. But do this, take her with you when you go somewhere and if there is a crowd just start yelling about the pox and the crowd will scatter.

Parties suck anyways.
She would have made those other kids look stupid at that competition.
Back door exits are for superstars.
Chick Fil A rules
And I am sure she is like her mom

Awwww....poor thing! I remember having Chicken pox. It was the week before the end of my 3rd grade school year. It sucked too!! I got it before my brother, within days and he got rid of his before me. Horrible!

Hope it goes away fast!! *HUGS*

Poor kid. I can't remember the last time I heard about someone having chicken pox. Just don't do what my dad did when I had them as a kid. He bought me cherry pop tarts, cause they looked like me. It was not comforting.

ugh...see that's what i dread...vax'n our kids and still get it...(well hopefully she got a mild case)
we didn't vax baby #4 (or 5) we'll let them get the chicken pox the old fashion way haha

gotta love some chick-fil-a though

i'm sorry she missed out on some fun stuff...why is it our kids get sick when something is planned?

Poor kiddo! Hope the itching doesn't last long.

Have her a chicken pox party.

If we lived close to you we would come. The kids could get the chicken pox, and have immunity for life.

Poor girl! I had it when I was young...and still have scars from it (I couldn't help but scratch them).

Here's to hoping she recovers soon, and no one else in the house gets it.

That sucks! I remember having it when I was 4.

Hope she has a light case of it and it's over soon!

I think it's scientific fact that Chick Fil A helps with chicken pox. Just sayin'.

Poor kid! Can we come over and play? My girls need to catch it and be done with it. Then Lily will have someone to play with in her boredom.

Sue the hell out of the idiots who made the vaccine. She's clearly got alot of emotional suffering going on :(

More ammo for my "why we don't do all vaccines" book. THANKS!
