My ink...and shit

These are my prized possessions.

You've seen this one, but I always forget to show you the coolest part. For our tenth anniversary, we got these bad boys. They are ambigrams, so they read the same upside down as they do right side up. This is my fave!!

Photobucket

This one is a Celtic Motherhood knot. It represents my heart intertwined with my kids' hearts. The dots represent each of my four offspring.

Photobucket

Last, but not least, is my tat honoring The One I Miss So Terribly on the outside of my ankle underneath the bone. The heart represents the part of him that still lives, and his angel wings.

I'll be adding one more, soon. I will get a Japanese Cherryblossom branch or tree on my back. It's gonna be a big one...I'm still trying to find the perfect depiction.

Anything you've permanently scarred your body with??

I'm loving your ink! They are so meaningful. The cherry blossom is going to be BEAUTIFUL!

I have four tats right now. One is a rose I got when I was 15 with my grandmother and hers matches as well. 2nd is a tribal type butterfly on my right ankle. 3rd is a palmetto tree with cresent that represents the state of SC on my lower back (Tramp Stamp). 4th is my three stars on my foot that represents my 3 B's. NEXT is the left newborn foot print of Brea and Brody's right foot print on the back of my right shoulder.

I have a butterfly coming out of a tribal design on my lower back that symbolizes me getting through a very rough period in my life. I also have one on my toe that is a half of a yin yang. My (ex) best friend had the other half. She was a bad friend and oddly enough her half basically wore off and you couldn't even tell what it was so she had it removed. My half (since I was the good friend) is still in perfect condition and not even faded at all. I like to think of that as karma. :o)

I like that all of your tattoos have meaning and significance - not just some random thing you've put on your body. They're all really nice. I have a lizard on my hip, which is supposed to symbolize for exchange to the Dominican Republic (there were a lot of lizards there) which was life-altering and eye-opening and all the rest. Only a few lucky people have ever actually seen it though.

I love your tattoos! Very clean, very classy, very symbolic. Can't wait to see the new one.

I have two. One small one on my bum, and one on my lower back, also known as the wonderous "tramp stamp". That one needs some desperate re-work since I was young and simply picked a picture out fo the book at the parlor. Ugghh. One is on my bum - it's a small butterfly, but depending on my weight it often looks like a Pterodactyl.

I have one on my ankle, but I want more. Hubs has several!

It's my dog. I used to draw a little cartoon strip for friends back in junior high and high school starring my retarded dog.

So it's that little drawing. Forearm. Booyah.

I love those wrists ones.

I really like your tats, Nikki. So much meaning. Very special stuff. As for me, I have too many to count. I have both arms almost completely sleeved, and I have pieces that cover the entire front of my thighs. For a sample just check out my facebook pics. If you want to see or know of more then just ask...

P.S.- The heart with wings must have hurt like hell to get it there. Still, it's nothing compared to the love it should make you feel.

All your tattoos are beautiful!!! And I like how each one has a special story behind it.

I've never gotten a tatoo because I'm a huge wimp when it comes to pain.

I adore your tats. I just came to the conclusion that I will never have a tattoo - after YEARS of trying to find THE one. I either a) can't pick one I want forever or b) cant figure out where I want one forever. SO, I guess I'll just go skydiving instead.

But posts like this make me crave ink.

Time to go pierce something, I guess. ;-)

Those tats are sick. I didnt even know that was something that could be done. VERY COOL

Carey and I were going to get inked in Hawaii in 2005 but they wouldnt do it because we had gotten a little sun. Crap I tell ya, just crap! Oh well, I guess we will just have to go back to Hawaii huh?
